Introduction

Hello,

I guess Introducing myself is a good way to start a blog. So Hello, I’m Ashley Marie Weaver. I am 19 and MtF Transgender. I play on my collegiate esports team in Overwatch, I am attempting to be a sports broadcaster, and I do a weekly Overwatch podcast with my teamates on Twitch. The intent of starting this blog is to discuss current issues in video games and esports whether it is strategy, social issues such as racism and homophobia, or game reviews and criticism. Personally, I do not think I bring anything incredibly unique to the game other than my personal perspective. However, I do believe I have an insight on multiple sides seeing as I have been on both sides of certain social issues.

Perhaps this blog will not bear any fruit, perhaps it will. My hope is that I will be able to give a unique perspective and take on video games and grow a culture in the scene.
